Vehicle Listing Information & Vehicle History.

Getting started with kslindex’s leading feature is simple. Accessing Vehicle History directly from the marketplace is a unique advantage, and we’ve made it easy to navigate. When you access a listing on kslindex using the VIN or Listing Number, you’ll land on the Vehicle Listing Information Page (Right). Here’s what each section means on the Vehicle Listing Information Page (Right): Vehicles Found: This is the easiest place to start. This number shows how many other listings of, for example, a “2019 Hyundai Tucson” we’ve identified 38 listings in the last 90 days. Unless otherwise specified, all information on this page is based on this 90-day data.

Fair Market Range: This section displays the pricing of the 38 “2019 Hyundai Tucson” listings we found, compared to this specific vehicle. You’ll see the price range as $4,495 - $15,937 - $24,969
(Min - Avg - Max). Below that, you’ll find this specific vehicle's listed price—$11,000—which is $4,937 below the average price.

Mileage: This section shows the average mileage of the 38 “2019 Hyundai Tucson” listings, which is 74,193 miles. The mileage for this specific vehicle at the time of posting is 72,900 miles, making it 1,593 miles below the average.

By clicking the + in the top right corner you can add this to your watchlist.

Additionally, at the bottom, you’ll see any recently listed vehicles along with their prices, giving you a quick view of the latest listings in comparison to this one.

Vehicle Vin History records each time the VIN is recorded. As you can see the example the vehicle was first listed in August 2023. A year later in October 2024 it was recorded again for $8,677 less, but a private seller this time.

Vehicle Deals & Notifications

When searching on kslindex, you can access Vehicle Deals (Left), which highlights vehicles with a price margin exceeding $1,000 within the last hour. Each listing displays key details:

Listing Details: Includes Title, VIN, Mileage, and Location for easy reference.

Listings: Shows how many times we’ve seen this VIN listed.

Compared: Displays how many other listings of that vehicle we’ve identified (e.g., for a "2021 Chrysler Pacifica," we’ve seen 23). All other information is based on this comparison number.

Margin: The difference between the listed amount and the estimated value of the vehicle.

Listed Amount: The price at which the vehicle is listed.

Value: The average price across all compared vehicles.

Avg Mileage: The average mileage of all compared vehicles.

Mile Margin: The difference between the mileage of this vehicle and the average mileage.

On the Event tab you will get all your notifications (Right) that when clicked will show the KSL Listing. You can create an alert on the Vehicle Deals Page for your desired margin.

Understanding the Dealership Analytics

When using kslindex's Dealership Analytics you'll be able to view how their vehicles compare to the market and answer these questions:

How many listings have they posted in the last 30 days?

How do they compare to other KSL dealerships?

How often are they trying to sell overpriced, high-mileage cars?

Then each are given a percentage and a ranking.

The percentage indicates how many of those vehicles meet your specified criteria, while the ranking shows how the dealership compares to all others on KSL.

With Rank #1 being the Best.
